Our project,\u00a0<em>&#8220;From Waste to Resource \u2013 Advancing Circular Bio-Based Materials for the Construction Industry,&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0was recognized by a distinguished jury of timber experts for its innovative approach and impact. During an exhilarating day of live presentations at the\u00a0Vienna City Hall on 26 May 2025, witnessed by\u00a0over 900 attendees from more than 50 countries, Team MycoLab advanced to the\u00a0top 3, showcasing the global potential of circular, bio-based solutions in construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Team Mycolab was competing with Team BranchUP&nbsp;(Maximilian Pramreiter, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), Austria), Team Hyperlignification&nbsp;(Emil Engelund Thybring, University of Copenhagen, Denmark), Team Transparent Wood&nbsp;(Yuanyuan Li, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden) and Team LignoVolt&nbsp;(Ingo Burgert, ETH Z\u00fcrich, Switzerland).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The live presentations took place at the Vienna City Hall.
