Many thanks to all project participants, sponsors, to the RoofKIT team and the film team around Pia Berchtold (<a href=\"https:\/\/pia-pia-pia.com\/standart-portfolio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">piapiapia<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-vimeo\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/829838917\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/roofkit.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RoofKIT<\/a> was one of 18 entries to the Solar Decathlon Europe 21-22, in which student teams from international&nbsp;colleges and universities each constructed a fully functional building prototype in Wuppertal in the summer of 2022, with which they competed in ten different architectural and structural engineering disciplines. With the RoofKIT project, the team from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology won the Solar Decathlon Europe 21-22. In two and a half years of intensive interdisciplinary teamwork in teaching, research and practice, students and teachers addressed the issues of sustainable resource consumption, renewable energy generation and coexistence in the city of the future from an architectural perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The building prototype is now located on KIT Campus S\u00fcd in Karlsruhe \u2013 we cordially invite you to register for a public RoofKIT tour <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arch.kit.edu\/roofkit_fuehrungen.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to finally publish the entire documentation of the RoofKIT project.
