Benedikt Trojer is a teaching assistant and researcher at the Chair of Sustainable Construction at KIT Karlsruhe. He studied Textile and Material Design at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin and Design at the Free University of Bozen–Bolzano. His work centers on underused regional materials, their ecological and cultural contexts, and their transformation into forward‑looking material strategies.
During his studies, he gained practical experience in research environments and design studios in Copenhagen, Berlin and Bozen – Bolzano, contributing to projects in sustainable materials, fabrication and experimental design.
Benedikt’s work has been shown in various exhibitions, including NEXT, NOW, THEN – Zwischen Gestern, Heute und Morgen, Dutch Design Week (2025); Room of Change, Vienna Design Week (2024); the Kunstgewerbemuseum Dresden (2023); and the Bolzano Art Week (2021).
