Your responsibilities:
You will work in the materials library in teaching and research on building materials. Your duties in this role will include providing technical and organisational support for the materials library in both physical and digital form. This includes the following tasks:
- Planning and implementation of various teaching formats with a focus on sustainable building materials (bachelor’s and master’s programmes)
- Advising students and lecturers on material properties and applications
- Organisation and implementation of specialist events for research and teaching within the materials library
- Further development of the possible uses of the materials library (e.g. linking it to the KIT library)
- Scientific development of the material holdings in physical and digital form and corresponding quality assurance of the content
- Participation in the network of the Material Library of German Universities (MDH) and in the further development of the digital platform
- Development of further scientific topics for the material library
- Instruction and coordination of student assistants
Your qualification:
- Particular interest in sustainability in construction
- Completed university education (Master’s degree) in, for example, architecture, civil engineering, materials science or related disciplines
- Professional experience in one or more of the following areas: architecture, construction, building materials, crafts, materials development or research
- In-depth knowledge of the properties and applications of building materials
- Experience in project development and implementation
- Organisational skills, ability to work in a team and a structured approach to work
